The IIT Co-operative Education Program

Co-operative Education is an academic program that combines learning in the classroom with learning on the job. As such, it is considered a "work-integrated learning" program. All co-op work experiences are administered and monitored by the IIT Career Management Center. A co-op commitment involves a three-way partnership between a student, an employer, and the university. This partnership helps ensure that the work the student does will be meaningful, relevant to their professional and educational goals, and the experience will add value to the student's academic studies.
